Sally's approach to her patients health care, differs considerably from the conventional medicine model that you may be accustomed to, because she focuses on treating at a cellular level to effectively target the underlying root cause of your health issue, vs treating symptoms alone.
Sally's holistic approach to your health, incorporates a combination of nutritional and herbal medicine therapies, in conjunction with teaching you how to use your food as medicine and how to make appropriate lifestyle modifications - to create a permanent and optimal shift in your physical and mental health and day to day function.
Please read the following information thoroughly to familiarize yourself with Sally's consultation process and fees, to see if you think her approach is suitable for you, before applying to be a patient.
Consultation Structure
Initial Case Review
The Initial Case Review process is designed to save you money and time in the long run, by performing the most relevant diagnostic testing and analysis of your medical case history, before implementing a comprehensive treatment program. The more accurate the initial assessment and investigation into your case, the more targeted and effective your treatment program can be, and this means less consultations in the long run, and a better outcome for correcting any underlying health issues.
Pathology Testing
Sally does not believe in "guessing", or a spatter gun approach when it comes to the treatment of her patients. Instead she subscribes to the theory that when it comes to pathology testing, "you only find what you look for", which is why she runs a series of comprehensive tests, from a variety of reliable pathology labs. Each pathology test is designed to assess specific elements of your health, using the most accurate and effective medium and testing method. This often means using a combination of blood, urine and salivary tests, in conjunction with a CDSA, or Comprehensive Digestive Stool Analysis.
Please note that whilst some pathology tests may be referred through your GP under Medicare, other pathology testing services are only available via private labs, because of the complexity of certain tests and throughness these labs offer. These tests enable Sally to identify the underlying cause/s of your health problems at a celleular level, and ensure the most targeted and successful treatment program to be implemented - not only saving you time and money in the long run, but most importantly, have you feeling and functioning at your best, faster.
The Initial Case Review consultation also provides you with the opportunity to ask any questions you may have about your condition and what you should expect in regards to how long the initial treatment program will need to be applied, and when you can potentially expect to see shifts in your symptoms, through to a likley recovery time - note this will be dependant on your underlying condition and adherance to your prescribed treatment program. It also provides an opportunity for you to get to know Sally and determine if her approach is a good fit for you over the long-term.
The Initial Case Review process includes two steps, which are described in more detail below:
Step one:

An initial assessment of your medical case history form and comprehensive symptomatology questionnaire, and any relevant previous pathology tests (10-page limit), to determine which labs Sally will refer you for further testing- (please note, this review is conducted by Sally after you submit your completed medical case history form and comprehensive symptomatology questionnaire and is done out of your consultation). You will then receive an email with any relevant patholgy request forms and instructions for collection.
Step two:

A 75-90 minute phone / skype consultation (note, face to face consultations may be available in Brisbane or Casuarina, depending on Sally's location at the time of your consultation) which includes:

A review of your current diet and nutritional supplements.

Explanation of your comprehensive symptomatology questionnaire results.

Review of your various pathology results and outline of your treatment plan.

Advice on any relevant lifestyle therapies.

Recommendations for further testing (if necessary).
Please note your treatment plan will be emailed to you within 48 hrs after your consultation.
To become a patient of Sally, please follow these steps to apply:

Familarise yourself with the standard consultation, testing procedures and fees below, before you apply.
You will receive a link to complete the comprehensive medical case history form and symptomatology questionnaire online, after you submit a request to be a patient.
It is important that you take the time to complete these forms as accurately and in as much detail as possible, as they are vital in helping to gain as much insight into your case.
Once your pathology results have been received, Sally's PA will be in contact with you via email to arrange a date and time for your initial case review consultation.
This typically occurs between 14 - 21 days after you have collected all of the requested pathology tests, as the turn around time on some of the lab results takes up to 3 weeks from the day your samples are received by the lab. While you wait for your lab results to come back, Sally recommends you implement the eating program contained in her book, Love Your Gut which will start your treatment process and enable you to report on any shifts, improvements, or symptoms, in your Initial Case Review consultation.
During your Initial Case Review consultation, Sally will explain her findings and assessment of your pathology results, medical case history form and comprehensive symptomatology questionnaire, including:

A summary of the underlying patterns that are contributing to your symptoms.

An outline of the suggested treatment plan, including dietary, supplement and lifestyle recommendations.

Recommendations for further testing (this will typically be minimal, if necessary at all, because of the completeness of the Initial Case Review process)
During your consultation, Sally will also discuss your results from following her eating program - contained in her book, Love Your Gut and answer any questions you have about her findings, or the proposed treatment plan.
Ongoing Treatment
Following on from your Initial Case Review consultation, follow-up appointments are generally scheduled between six and ten weeks after your Initial Case Review Consultation, to allow enough time to pass for you to respond to your treatment program, and to re-test any relevant pathology tests. Please note the number of follow-up patholgy tests will be greatly reduced from your initial testing regime.
Sally will review your progress on the treatment plan, along with any follow-up test results, and make additional dietary and or supplement / dosage recommendations as necessary.
After your first follow up consultation, the frequency of any appointments will depend upon the severity of your condition, as well as your response to treatment.
Consultation Fee Schedule
The Initial Case Review is the fastest and most efficient way to determine the underlying cause/s of your health problems and design an effective treatment plan. While the Initial Case Review consultation may cost more than a typical initial visit to a conventional physician, it is designed to save you money and time over the long-term, by performing a thorough investigation and analysis of your medical case history, in conjunction with the most relevant diagnostic testing, before implementing the most effective and targeted treatment.
A breakdown of the Initial Case Review and follow up consultation fees, is detailed below so you know what to expect. Please note, Initial Case Review consultations are payable 24 hrs prior to your appointment if it is being conducted by phone / skype.
Initial Case Review Consult: $250 inc GST. Includes a 30-minute out of consultation assessment by Sally of your medical case history form, any recent pathology test results and comprehensive symptomatolgy questioniare, plus a face to face / phone consultation and written treatment program, which is based on your medical case history and pathology results. Please note this fee does not include any nutritional supplements you may bw prescribed as part of your treatment program.
Follow-up Consultations: $85 per 30 minutes - typically scheduled 6-10 weeks after your initial appointment and then as required.
